Do pay day loan lenders perform a credit check?
Pay day loans do sound a bit too good to be true many of the
lenders state that they do not perform credit checks carried out on loan
applicants but is that a bit risky?
If any of you have every applied for a loan you will see nocredit checks plastered all over the lenders website, but if this is true why
was I turned down for a loan?
3 years ago I arrived home from work to find a letter from
my landlord telling us that he was giving us 2 months to move out of his
property as he was selling the house. I did not have any savings and could not
get any credit due to my bad credit record. So an advert comes on TV offering a
pay day loan, I visited the lenders website and began the application process,
to my amazement the person at the end of the phone had said my application had
been declined even though there website stated that no credit checks were carried
out.
After looking around the internet for more pay day loan companies I tried with a different pay day loan company and this lender
accepted my loan application within a few hours the money was in my bank
account meaning that I could use this as a bond for a house.
I since found out that these companies to carry out an
internal check, but why do some companies accept your application and some do
not?
As you can see from my experience the best thing you can do
is if you get rejected by one lender then try another, luckily since I took out
a pay day loan and managed to pay off my debts so my credit record is far
better than it was back then.
